It’s Friday! If you seriously think I am going to ever stop celebrating the cyclical nature of time that brings Friday upon us every seven days, you’ve got another think coming.
Today, we’re SO excited to announced the launch of the fresh Feed the Queue podcast, now under the production of Tink Media.
Feed the Queue is the ultimate podcast discovery podcast! It will feed your queue with an assortment of fantastic podcasts you would likely not have heard of. Devin calls it a char-queue-terie of podcasts, full of delicious sounds and flavors. (I highly recommend hearing her say this. Tantalizing).
Feed the Queue (FTQ) was initially launched by Lauren Passell and the Podcast Brunch Club’s Adela Mizarchi as a podcast discovery podcast. Since its launch in May 2022, the podcast has run two seasons and featured episodes from podcasts including BEEF, FeMANism, and Skyline Drive.
➡️ Tune into the trailer here and subscribe where you feast on podcasts.
Holly made us these beautiful Feed the Queue stickers! Want some? In the comments, tell us a show you’d love to see featured on Feed the Queue (bonus points if it’s not yours) and reply to this email with your mailing address! ✨🤸♀️🌈
🦄 52 Weeks of Podcast Growth
Remember the BTS photo or video you took of yourself last week? Go ahead and share it, if you haven’t already! Let the world see the maestro at work.
If you’re new here, read the previous weeks’ tips to start implementing them at your own pace.
📖 From the Desk of Tink
In addition to working with podcasts, Tink also works with authors to help them promote their work on podcasts.
We’re currently working with the amazing Carmen Rita Wong for the paperback release of her memoir — Why Didn’t You Tell Me?
Carmen always knew her family was a little different, from her upbringing with her mother Lupe and family of Black and brown Latina women, to her Chinese immigrant father, “Papi” Wong, a hustler, who would show her and her older brother off in opulent restaurants decorated in red and gold.
When Carmen started investigating her own lineage she found a shocking secret about her mother’s secretive past full of abuse, coercion, affairs, multiple abortions, and the birth of Carmen, whose real father (none of the three men listed above) would be hidden from her until after her mother had passed, when it was too late to ask her mother: Why didn’t you tell me?
The hardcover was released earlier this year and the paperback releases on August 29. ( If you want a sneak peek of Carmen’s story, I highly recommend listening to Carmen’s interview on The Only One In The Room).
🎤 Ask Tink
We recently started the Ask Tink section. We’re welcoming reader questions on podcast marketing and PR. If you have any, you can just fill out this form. There are no stupid questions!
Question: Should I be a podcast listener, if I am a podcaster?
Devin (she/her): Absolutely! You can learn a lot about how your show could sound and be reminded of what the listener experience is like, so you know how you want to present things for your listeners. It will help with content decisions, marketing ideas, and it’s a way of supporting others in the industry!
✨ More Magic
Apple Podcasts launched subscription analytics and other tools to help podcasters measure and grow podcasts.
We love to see the effect puppies have on James Cridland and Arielle Nissenblatt’s moods.
On her podcast recommendation newsletter Podstack, Devin shares what happens to her brain when someone asks for a podcast recommendation.
Sneak peek: Arielle and Lauren surveyed attendees at Podcast Movement about podcast listening habits. Subscribe to Podcast The Newsletter to read the results, next week.

I think you should feature Dear FoundHer... which is an amazing interview podcast for female founders by Lindsay Pinchuk, in the same vein of female power, I'm a huge fan of Why Didn't They Tell Us which is by Leslie Randolph who is a self confidence coach for teenage girls and women. Another amazing resource for all humans is Language Alchemy by Alejandra Siroka who offers communication training so you can communicate with clarity, confidence and compassion. Great shows.
