Last year in November, I was taking dance lessons which would end late at night. On the way back home, I had to traverse this quiet alley (think this is where Bruce Wayneβs parents got shot). Needless to say, I would get really nervous walking through this. Thankfully, I had Kelly Corrigan Wonders keeping me company. Kellyβs soothing voice reading poetry and eulogies in my ear kept me distracted and made me feel safe.
π I was lucky enough to share this with Kelly herself one day, and she replied β βIβd gladly walk you home every night.β
Our audio companions walk us through a lot of things; bad times in the day, stormy times in our lives, and difficult times in our nations.
Today, weβre taking a moment to send a Tink thank you to the podcasts we are ever so grateful for. Thanks to you, weβll never walk alone.
Below, youβll hear from some members of our team on the podcasts that made them fall in love with podcasts, and a few shows they are grateful for.

The Heart made me fall in love with podcasts. Itβs a classic; yet so hard to find something that will make me feel the same as this did.
The podcast(s) that I'm grateful for:
The Competition: One of the best of 2025! The gracefulness and candor with which this story is told lures you in as a listener and reminds you of why you fell in love with the medium in the first place.
Happy Forgetting: This is a new show that came at such a timely moment. Now more than ever we all need to be reminded why forgetting is not an option. It quite literally spotlights such diverse stories and creators' voices.
The Sam Sanders Show: I love a good pop culture-critical thinking duo. Every episode is a learning moment traced back to entertainment, society and culture in a way only the amazing Sam Sanders could do it. I mean, an episode on how pop culture can help the climate? Count me in!

I'm grateful for...
Vibe Check! (who is surprised?)
I wish there was a method to measure the way my emotions immediately improve as soon as I start listening to a new Vibe Check episode. Even when things are not okay, Sam, Zach and Saeed make me feel better and I'm so grateful for their joy, friendship, critical analysis, and knowledge.
The Best Advice Show feels like a little corner of positivity in a big room of podcasts covering the current state of the world. I love that I never know what kind of advice to expect, but that it always feels thoughtful and relatable.

The Champs and Slumber Party with Alie and Georgia were what made me first fall in love with podcasts.
Podcast that I'm grateful for:
For years Short Cuts has been undeniably delightful, a constant nearly never, ever-miss, and in light of the news that the BBC has cancelled it, and with even the smallest bit of hope that the audio world, who appreciates Short Cuts for what it is, can change their mind, I am particularly grateful for everything that it's brought me. Josie's funny charm, the rollercoaster of emotions it has taken me on, and the ability to hear well-produced short audio pieces. That's something becoming so rare these days and now will be even rarer.
If you want to help BBC change itβs mind about Short Cuts, consider signing this letter.

Podcast Iβm grateful for:
Savage Lovecast. I've been listening for ~9 years. I've learned so much over the years about love, sex, relationship structures, and giving advice.

Podcast that I'm grateful for:
I had just started getting into tabletop roleplaying games when I found the D&D Is For Nerds podcast from Sanspants Radio, and the creativity and obvious fun the team was having made me want to listen to even more of them and become more involved in the industry... So I suppose I can't help but be grateful for D&D Is For Nerds and the team behind it for guiding me towards my career and helping me get to where I am today!
As for me, Iβm immensely grateful to the dulcet tones of The Blindboy Podcast for keeping me company always, be it a long flight or a difficult day. I never want to know where Iβd be without your keen observations and crass humor.
π What show are you grateful for?
β More Magic:
On a special episode of the Blue Sky podcast, host Bill Burke shares thoughts on gratitude and how an attitude of thankfulness can transform your outlook on life. The episode features guests like Bert Jacobs, co-founder of Life Is Good, Ted Johnson, U.S. Navy officer and former Obama Administration Fellow, Anh Vu Sawyer, author and Vietnamese refugee, and David Gardner, co-founder of The Motley Fool.
Hosted by Nichole Argo, Reimagining Us is a new podcast that hopes to bridge the the differences in communities through conversations.
With that, I leave you many podcasts to listen to. Happy holiday-involving-loads-of-food-and-friends to you, however you celebrate it.
Weβll be back next week with a regular issue.
Until then, remember to fly to the second star on the right, and straight on till morning.
Be well,
Shreya
