Happy Friday! The older I grow, the lesser things I am certain of. However, one thing remains unchanged — artists don’t always have enough time to promote the art that they create. In this respect, podcasters are no different. Especially, independent podcasters and small-to-medium sized teams. That’s why, we’ve got to make the most of the time and resources we have.
So, today we’re going to talk about how to repurpose your podcast content to promote your podcast and hopefully, grow your audience.
I am not saying this won’t be any work at all but it will be lesser than work than creating content specifically for promotion and growth.
But first (and I can’t believe we are FINALLY saying this,) a word from our sponsors for this month: Lulu.com.
Before we dive in, here’s one for our regulars.
🦄 52 weeks of podcast growth
Find 5 podcasts that you love and share them on social. Bonus: leave each of them an intentional review.
In the spirit of today’s issue, let’s remember that every podcaster has limited time to grow their show. So, any bit of genuine love shared with them goes a long way. I mean, we could all learn from Lauren.
To sum it up:
Send a pitch to two podcasters.
Check your website for maintenance.
Transcribe a new or old episode of your podcast.
Add two promotional to-dos to your calendar: 1) share episode on social media, and 2) share episode to the podcasting Discord.
Find 5 podcasts that you love and share them on social. Bonus: leave each of them an intentional review. We wouldn’t mind if you tagged us too!

🔥 Repurposing your podcast content for promotion
1: Transcribe episodes to blog posts
The oldest one in the book is still the best one to go to. Convert podcast episodes into engaging blog posts that include key takeaways, highlights, and additional insights. If you have guests on your show, make sure to highlight cool quotes from them. Don’t forget to optimize these blog posts for SEO.
2: Compile reels featuring highlights or best-of episodes
Sometimes, breaking your podcast into easier-to-consume chunks is a great way to get people interested. That’s where reels featuring episode highlights or best-of moments come in. Compile and edit the most engaging and valuable moments from multiple podcast episodes to create reels featuring highlights or best-of episodes.
3: Create snippets, either texts or audiograms, for social media
This one’s an oldie but a goodie too. Extract intriguing snippets or quotes from your podcast episodes and turn them into eye-catching visuals or short video clips. Share these snippets on social media platforms, as per usual. Sorry for being boring but: remember to add a link or a call-to-action in the captions to get people to your podcast.
4: Host virtual events or meetups
This one’s a great way to build community. Organize virtual events or meetups for community members to come together in real-time. This can include live podcast recordings, panel discussions, or interactive workshops related to podcast topics. Additionally, if your podcast allows it, you can also create a discussion group based on the topics in your podcast.
5: Create infographics or visual summaries
If you are artistically (or Canva) inclined, this is a good one for you! You could transform key insights or lessons from the podcast into visually appealing infographics or visual summaries. These visuals can be shared on social media or even included in your newsletter.
Sidebar: sorry to go meta on you here but, you could also tell your podcast listeners that you’ve begun sharing these. Feel free to encourage them to share with their friends. It’s a whole beautiful circle of repurposing.
Got any other tips for repurposing content that we might have missed?

Thirty-five-year-old Aline has never been attracted to anyone—not sexually, not romantically. On their podcast Free From Desire, they tell us how difficult it was to realize and accept their asexuality and their aromantism in a society that prefers to center love and sex. This acceptance is what also allowed them to have a child via artificial insemination. From adolescence, to their first fascinations with relationships and sexuality, and arriving at single parenthood, Aline talks to us about how different stages in their life illustrate their experience of asexuality. Throughout the show, Aline talks to experts, sociologists, and even acquaintances and friends to discuss our society’s relationship with sex and our preoccupation with traditional coupling.
