🐝 What your fav Bridgerton couple reveals about your marketing style 🌺
And what you might improve
Dearest gentle reader,
Since the return of London’s most fashionable set, this humble author finds herself compelled to weave it into the tapestry of every conversation. It appears that the charms of the ton's latest intrigues have quite captured her quill.
With that in mind, today’s issue shall delve into a most intriguing topic: what your favorite Bridgerton couple reveals about your podcast marketing style, and what improvements might be made to enhance your efforts.
Pay close attention, for who can say? You may find yourself both amused and enlightened, learning a thing or two along the way.
Yours truly,
Lady Whistledown
Omg hi! Shreya here. I could have written the entire issue like that but I love you too much to subject you to my wannabe-Lady Whistledown-writing. (Also, I’m not sure Lady Whistledown would refer to podcasts as the same?)
Let the season commence!
P.S - this is a fun issue not intended to throw shade on any of the characters or who you might love! I encourage you to enjoy it as such.
P.P.S - True Bridgerton fans might understand the emojis.
🌸 What your favorite Bridgerton couple reveals about your marketing style
Season 1: Simon and Daphne
🪜 You might be:
An early adopter of new ideas, no matter how risky they might seem to others.
A little caught up in the branding of it all.
Prone to working in seclusion, away from the prying eyes of others.
💭 You might consider:
Asking your listeners what they think of you! Perception clearly matters to you so why not just ask? Take a listener survey and learn more.
Attending a local (or virtual) podcast meetup or two. Why not see what fun schemes the others are concocting?
Tuning into the pulse of podcasting by listening closer and smarter.
Season 2: Kate and Anthony
(Oh hi! Same same. Glad we found each other.)
🐝 You might be:
Entirely too consumed with the competition.
One of those creators who wonders “Is there room for my podcast?”
Probably better than you give yourself credit for.
🗨️ You might consider:
Investigating what other topics or genres your listeners enjoy. This might spark some ideas to find podcast friends and engage in creative partnerships.
Being smart about the time you spend on your podcast. If you’re obsessing with your success metrics, make sure you count what matters.
Pausing, from time to time. (Yeah, I said it). Set up a feed warmer campaign and give yourself a break.
Season 3: Penelope and Colin
🪞 You might be:
Playing it too safe.
A believer in slow and steady winning the race.
Content with your place in the podscape.
🗣️ You might consider:
Trying on something new! Perhaps even seeing what you could learn from a whole different genre of podcasting.
Devising a fresh way to reach your listeners. Have you considered creating a quiz for them? Trust me, it works.
Trusting your intuition and expertise on what you’re creating. (sorry for the preach but if you’ve been reading PMM, it’s probably true!)
Thank you for indulging me folks! I hope that was half as much fun for you as it was for me.
One does wonder, what would a podcast be called in the regency era? Ideas, opinions, epiphanies? Let me know in the comments below.
👀 From The Desk of Tink
In 2021, anonymous user Carl92 uploaded a 17-second sample of a song that changed lost media forever. Everyone Knows That: The Search for Ulterior Motives is a five-part miniseries ALLL about the history of the song, the theories pursued, the hoaxes created, and the song's shocking discovery. New episodes air every Monday starting June 17 and the trailer is out now!

Next week, Wil returns with a starry issue (and that’s the only spoiler I’m giving!)
Until then, stay joyous.
